I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
